Lifelike Pumpkin Face by Ray Villafane

There are so many creative and stunning pumpkin-carving coming up every year. And if pumpkin-carving were to become an Olympic event, Ray Villafane would be a contender for a gold medal. Villafane, the American model designer and former art teacher uses spoons and a scalpel to carve the innocent orange gourds into Halloween horrors in double quick time. His Halloween pumpkins are so hauntingly lifelike that they often inspire stunned silence and awe. Take a look at these 11 stunning carvings we presented in this post. It is really amazing to see each wrinkly, orange globe that Villafane digs into is brought to life with an animated expression. And you can find more on his site. [source]

Lovely girl’s dream scenes by Jan Von Holleben

Known for his Dreams of Flying series, Jan von Holleben‘s world is playful, fun, and impossibly inventive. He transforms the ordinary into something out of a picture book. In time, he worked on an editorial on dreams of a grown-up, actually, a girl’s dream. The bed became Jan’s canvas and he successfully incorporated everyday objects into these lovely girl’s dream scenes. Blankets suddenly become a car, comforters transform into clouds, stocks becomes fishes while bed sheet becomes ocean, which is something elegant and fun! They’re all bound to bring a smile to the viewer’s face. [source]
